The Characters
New World Girls is a universe of multicultural superheroes empowering young girls with emotional intelligence through stories, characters, and SEL tools that build confidence, empathy, and resilience.
The New World Girls (NWG) come from a community of diverse planets in a galaxy far away. These five cross-cultural crystal-toting “super girls” and their mystical mascot are sent on a vision quest from a galaxy far away for a never-ending series of earthly adventures.
They will be sent on the greatest adventures of their lives as they take on unique challenges by exploring ancient customs and modern wisdom from tribes and cultures around the globe.
In each story, our heroes work together to make a positive difference for people and our planet.
Each NWG has been transported independently from her home planet in a unique spaceship, accompanied by a crystal and with special powers, and each of them seeks to empower kids. Why kids? Because children are the hope of the future and they can help solve problems with magic, believing, and curiosity — instead of fear.
These characters are created to inspire and empower all young girls. These stories are the beginning of what will be many adventures designed to encourage young girls to follow their individual gifts and abilities. These books are fantasy and folklore grounded in real world situations.

Meet Monica!
Monica is a total nature girl. Her specialty is a connection with plants and animals. She can talk to any tree, flower, bird or beast — but people — not so much.
Gem: Malachite (green like the forest; used for shape-shifting into a raven).
Her Mission: To help protect the earth and the natural world.
Earth Connection: North America/Europe
Meet Miya!
Miya is a tech whiz and knows everything about the latest electronic gadgets. She blushes easily, misuses words, or just makes them up. She sees messages, geometric information and hidden communications.
Gem: Rose Quartz (allows her to access knowledge and read auras and feels into energies). These patterns give the team knowledge to help them solve problems. She uses an Aura-odometer to navigate the world.
Her Mission: To help people solve problems by seeing patterns and symbols.
Earth Connection: Ancient Asia
Meet Murda!
Mudra is smart, confident and well-read; understands the power of the crystal kingdom, has an unbelievable connection with the moon’s waves and rhythms and feelings.
Gem: Purple Amethyst (used for great healing, always in her backpack). A great skill for the teams many adventures.
Her Mission: To help people connect with their feelings and the crystal kingdom.
Earth Connection: Africa and Hawaii
Meet Maria!
Maria connects with celestial beings, like fairies, and magical winged creatures. She and these mystical beings build teams of followers to help girls in conflicts to “believe.”
Gem: Selenite (connects with magical beings).
Her Mission: To help people connect with the magical world. She is slowly discovering her ancient Mayan culture.
Earth Connection: South and Central America
Meet Meeka!
Meeka is calm and compassionate, like the Dali Lama the youngest yet the wisest of the NWG. Often silently listening, she shows people “the way” and other girls tend to follow.
Gem: Watermelon Tourmaline (brings peace and joy to relationships).
Her Mission: To help people be more mindful and present, to bring laughter and joy. She leaves a porcelain happy cat behind her whenever she goes to create more happiness.
Earth Connection: Mount Everest.
Meet Elipup!
Elipup is the girls’ constant and steadfast companion. A mystical mascot, comes from fantastical roots. His grandmother was a Matriarchal Elephant, the oldest female elephant, leading and tending the heard from India.
Special Power: He can hide his trunk when necessary. His keen sense of smell enables him to sniff out danger in an instant and his remarkable memory enables him to always find the way back to school.
Mission: Galant and brave, he is never afraid and is always ready for every assignment.
